Bushy Park Barbados will again play a key role in Sol Rally Barbados. In addition to hosting ‘Rally Central’ in the Pits for the second year, the event’s final stage will once again be a flat-out blast around a two-kilometre stage, taking in elements of the International Circuit, the kart links and the bridge; the Pits will also be the Service Park for Sunday’s 10 special stages, three of which will pass to the south of the facility, from Three Houses to Padmore Village.
Rally Central is the storage and service facility managed by the Barbados Rally Club to accommodate international and regional competitors; it provides a secure location in which the cars are stored once they are released from the Bridgetown Port, with the Rally Office, storage and washrooms on site, along with track time available for testing.
The Bushy Park Barbados special stage is the last of 24 on this year’s schedule; although it will be timed for inclusion in the overall results, based on previous experience, it should still be a feast of action for the fans, with “nuff donuts and flag-waving”, as one of the organisers put it! Once done, the cars will head up to The Hill to meet up with service crew, supporters and rally fans for the After-Party.
